A prize of $2,500 will be awarded for an original, unpublished poem that evokes the American South. Poets may enter only one poem in any style no longer than three pages (12-point font, one-inch margins). Submissions will not be returned so be sure to keep a copy. Susan Kinsolving will judge. The winner will be notified in the fall of 2021 and invited to attend the Willie Morris Award ceremonies in Oxford, Mississippi, with travel expenses paid for the occasion.
Poetry submissions will be accepted between January 4 and April 30, 2021.
